Örebro Municipality (Swedish: Örebro kommun) is a municipality in Örebro County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Örebro.
The municipality was created from the City of Örebro and surrounding rural municipalities in and with some areas added in it had an area of 1,&#;km2. In the municipality was split in two when Lekeberg Municipality was recreated in its boundaries from

Örebro kommun (uttal&#;(fil)) är en kommun i Örebro län. Centralort är Örebro som också är residensstad i Örebro län.
Närkeslätten&#;med odlingsmark breder ut sig kring&#;Hjälmaren&#;och centralorten. I norr övergår landskapet i&#;Bergslagsregionen&#;och berggrunden innehåller malmförande äldre bergarter. I väster bildar en förkastningsbrant en skarp avgränsning mot slättområdet. Centralorten förknippas ofta med sko- och kextillverkning. Dessa branscher finns dock inte kvar i kommunen. Istället domineras det lokala näringslivet av tjänstesektorn.
Sedan kommunen bildades har befolkningstrenden varit positiv. Valet ledde till omval. Efter omvalet och fram till styrdes kommunen av en koalition bestående av Centerpartiet, Kristdemokraterna och Socialdemokraterna. Sedan styrs kommunen av Socialdemokraterna, Centerpartiet och Moderaterna.[6]
